Independent Project Monitors (IPMs) are qualified engineers and quantity surveyors, registered with COREN or NIQS, who check construction progress before any money is released.
What an IPM does
- Accepts inspection requests for milestones in their area.
- Visits the site and checks the work against the agreed drawings and specifications.
- Captures geotagged photos and completes a structured checklist.
- Certifies or rejects the milestone. A certification triggers the escrow release.
What it costs to join
Joining as an IPM is free. BuildTrack charges a 1.5% commission on each inspection fee you earn. See the IPM pricing for details.
If you are a registered professional and want to become an IPM, sign up on Escropro or contact our team.
