01Who we are

BuildTrack Infrastructure Systems Limited (RC 9649379) (“BuildTrack”, “we”, “us”) operates this website at www.buildtracknigeria.com and the Escropro platform. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Our office is at 5 Kwaji Close, Maitama, Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.

This policy explains what personal data we collect on this website, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the regulations of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Your use of the Escropro platform itself (including account opening, identity verification and escrow transactions) is covered by the separate privacy notice you accept when you sign up on Escropro.

02Data we collect

We only collect what we need:

• Contact form: your full name, email address, phone number with country code, the role you choose (for example investor or developer), an optional subject, your message, and your consent to be contacted.
• WhatsApp and email: the details you share when you message us on WhatsApp or email us.
• Technical data: our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the website secure and working.

We do not ask for bank details, identity documents or payment information on this website. Never send these through the contact form.

03How we use your data and our legal basis

• To reply to your enquiry and follow up on partnership, investment, development, vendor or monitoring opportunities. Legal basis: your consent, and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
• To keep the website secure and prevent spam and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations, where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

04Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the website, under appropriate safeguards:

• Form delivery: contact form messages are delivered to our team’s inbox through FormSubmit, a form-to-email service.
• Email and messaging: our business email provider, and WhatsApp (Meta) when you choose to contact us there.
• Website hosting and fonts: our hosting provider, and Google Fonts, which loads the typefaces used on this site.
• Authorities: regulators, courts or law enforcement where the law requires it.

05International transfers

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we rely on the transfer grounds permitted by the NDPA, such as adequate protection in the receiving country, appropriate contractual safeguards, or your consent, and we take reasonable steps to keep your data protected.

06How long we keep it

We keep contact form enquiries and related correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law or you become a BuildTrack customer or partner, in which case the Escropro privacy notice applies. We then delete or anonymise it.

07Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics that profile you. Third-party services we link to, such as WhatsApp or the Escropro platform, have their own cookie policies.

08How we protect it

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to enquiries is limited to authorised BuildTrack staff, and our providers apply industry-standard security. No system is completely secure, so if we become aware of a breach that is likely to put you at risk, we will notify you and the NDPC as the law requires.

09Your rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to:

• be informed about how your data is used and access a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected, and have data deleted where it is no longer needed;
• restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

To use any of these rights, email hello@buildtracknigeria.com. We will respond within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

10Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
